  2. Battery percentage visualisation on taskbar and reduced task bar.

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

To address the issue of displaying the battery percentage on the taskbar and reduced taskbar in Windows 11, there are several methods and tools available, although it appears that Windows 11 does not natively support this feature directly on the taskbar by default.

Methods to Display Battery Percentage on Windows 11

    1. Using Taskbar Settings:
      • Open the Settings menu by clicking the Start button and selecting Settings.
      • Navigate to System > Power & sleep.
      • Scroll down to the Battery section and toggle the switch next to Battery percentage to enable it.
    2. Using Battery Icon Settings:
      • Click on the battery icon in the taskbar.
      • Select More Power Options.
      • Enable the Show Battery Percentage option.
    3. Third-Party Applications:
      • Battery Percentage Icon App: Available on the Microsoft Store, this app can be installed to display the battery percentage on the taskbar. After installation, it will show the battery percentage next to the battery icon
      • Battery Tracker: This app not only shows the battery percentage but also provides notifications when the battery life is lower/higher than a threshold or fully charged. It can be installed from GitHub or the Microsoft Store.

    Additional Tips

    • Reduced Taskbar in Tablet Mode: Unfortunately, there is no native setting in Windows 11 to display the battery percentage on the reduced taskbar in tablet mode. Using third-party applications like the Battery Percentage Icon App might be the best workaround for this scenario.
    • Feedback to Microsoft: If you find that these solutions do not meet your needs, you can suggest this feature to Microsoft through the Feedback Hub app. This app allows users to send suggestions and report issues directly to Microsoft.

While Windows 11 does not natively support displaying the battery percentage directly on the taskbar by default, there are several methods and third-party applications available to achieve this functionality. For users who need this feature in tablet mode or on the reduced taskbar, third-party apps like the Battery Percentage Icon App or Battery Tracker are recommended solutions. Additionally, providing feedback to Microsoft through the Feedback Hub can help advocate for this feature in future updates.

Please feel free to reach out if you require any additional assistance. I'm here to help!

  3. Battery percentage visualisation on taskbar and reduced task bar.

You're welcome! If the steps I provided didn't quite do the trick, here are some additional ones you can try:

You can use third-party applications to achieve this functionality.

    1. Battery Percentage Icon App:
      • This app can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. It displays the battery percentage directly on the taskbar, making it easy to monitor your battery level at a glance.
      • How to Install:
        1. Open the Microsoft Store.
        2. Search for Battery Percentage Icon.
        3. Click on Get to download and install the app.
        4. Once installed, the battery percentage will be displayed on the taskbar.
    2. Battery Meter:
      • Another useful app available on the Microsoft Store, Battery Meter provides a widget that shows the battery level and other details.
      • How to Install:
        1. Open the Microsoft Store.
        2. Search for Battery Meter.
        3. Click on Get to download and install the app.
        4. The widget will display the battery percentage and other relevant information.
    3. Pure Battery Analytics:
      • This app offers comprehensive battery monitoring, including live tiles showing the battery percentage, notifications for battery status, and detailed analytics.
      • How to Install:
        1. Download the app from the GitHub repository or the Microsoft Store.
        2. Follow the installation instructions provided in the repository or store page.
        3. Configure the settings to display the battery percentage in the system tray.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

When installing the March update, the battery percentage was deleted ?

    Battery Percentage

I have two HP laptops. Both running Win 10 22H2 with latest updates. One shows "percentage charge" and the other "minuites to full charge" when hovering over the taskbar battery icon with laptops plugged in. Seems like they should show the same. I checked out the suggestions, but no luck.
