Windows 10: When my computer connects to 5ghz hotspot it either shows no internet connection or runs at...

The problem is stated in the title. I've already ran the whole terminal commands with IP flush and stuff like that. Theres no issue at all when I use 2.4 GHz instead. My phone is right next to my computer, so proximity shouldn't be an issue. The wifi module on my computer is called 6E AX211160MHz, I've tried a couple of phone and the same issue persisted so I'm assuming its a problem with the computer. The 2.4 Ghz channel is several times faster than the 5 ghz when the 5 ghz actually works so I think its a problem with that.

Laptop wont connect to Android hotspot 5ghz but does on 2.4ghz

good evening, I have a problem where i cant connect to 5Ghz hotspot from my samsung 21. It is set up as 5Ghz on my phone but says unable to connect to network. If i set my phone as 2.4Ghz it will connect fine. I have ruled out the phone as i can connect my works phone to the 5Ghz hotspot. When i try set up my works phone as the 5Ghz hot spot i get the same issue on the laptop. I have tried everything i can think of. My laptop does connect to 5Ghz wifi as this is what i use in my home to game. It just seems to be hotspot that it wont allow. Below is a list of what i have tried. Forgetting the hotspot Flight mode Manually adding the wireless connection Changing network adapters to show 5Ghz connections only Updating windows to latest update Network adapters are updated One thing i did do that worked the first time was open command prompt and do these commands below netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns Then i restarted laptop and it connected to 5Ghz hotspot. Then after 30 minutes it disconnected and i have not been able to connect again, even after repeating the above steps. Please help! Thank you

This usually happen if Internet Connection Sharing was not enabled. To do this, follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + X and select Network Connections.
• Please note that at this point, your hotspot connection should be showing here
• Right-click your internet source, which should be Ethernet.
• Select Properties.
  
• Click Sharing.
• Check the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection option.
• Under Home networking connection drop-down menu select your
  hotspot connection name.
• Click OK.

When I connect to a free wifi hotspot at some public location from my phone, tablet or computer, I usually have to follow the following steps:

• Go to the device's wifi settings (on the phone tap Settings > Wifi),
• Tap the wifi hotspot you want to connect with
• When it shows "connected", open up the device's browser,
• Tap the browser refresh button
• This usually automatically brings up some kind of hotspot agreement website, Tap through any of the "I agree" statements you see
• Then the device can use the hotspot's internet connection.
