Windows 10: When my mic is active on my bluetooth headphones, all the sound from my game gets muted

I got these Skullcandy headphones that are Bluetooth connected to the computer and every time I try and play a game and use my microphone, the game sounds get muted.


This is annoying because I want to talk to people but also want to hear my game. All my sound drivers are updated and I updated my computer to the latest.

The issue could be because of the internal mic picking up sound even when the external device is pluuged in. If you have the RealTek HD Audi Manager installed on the machine, I would suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works for
you.

• Open RealTek HD Audio Manager and go to the
  Advanced tab.
  
• Check the boxes Separate all input jacks as independent input devices
  and Mute the internal output device, when external headphone is plugged in,
  and hit OK.
  
• Exit RealTek HD Audio Manager, restart the machine and see if the issue persists.

Muted mic picking up sound in game

My mic picks up sound even muted. Nothing I've tried has fixed this. Push to talk works but I use a controller so voice activation is my best option. I set all options to push to talk except game options. I have this problem across games. Any suggestions??

 

Bluetooth headphones and games

Hi

Ok so I got some bluetooth headphones ans they work great but one thing I have noticed is sometimes when I use discord or even sometimes in games sounds tend to get muted (More so with discord) like I will be playing just fine a friend will come on and want to get on discord and bam minute I enter voice chatroom the game sounds are muted.

I thought at first it was a discord issue but when I was talking to another friend recently he said it might be a windows setting.

I googled it and someone said it might be a communications tab issue with the system muting or lowering the volume when other things become in use so I turned that to DO NOTHING but I notice the game still mutes at times.

Is there anything people can think of that would cause the audio to much while leaving other stuff alone like discord for instance if I use that the ame mutes but the discord audio seems fine.

Thoughts?
