Windows 10: When my PC is asleep or shutdown for a long period of time the ethernet is disconnected...

The only solution I've found is to unplug, then re-insert the ethernet cable, then after a few seconds, it's back to normal.The router is owned by the ISP, and is installed in the apartment with several in-wall ethernet ports that are wired back to the modem.I previously had a prebuilt XPS desktop that had the same behavior, but now I'm having the same issue on the PC I just built.I kept the CPU, SSD, and HDD from the prebuilt, but all other components are new. Incidentally I moved my desk and am using a different ethernet wall jack for the connection, but the issue persists. I used both PCs

Ethernet Disconnect After Long Sleep

Sorry for the delay Andre. On one long sleep (hours long) I instantly got online with my ethernet connection. On the next long sleep (hours long) the ethernet had disconnected so I had to shut down and and start up the computer. I do feel your install/repair
link improved things, but not totally fixed up yet.

Thank you for keeping us posted on the status of the issue.

I suggest you to check if rolling back the Ethernet driver helps to resolve the issue. Follow the below steps.

• First of all, Press Windows logo + R from keyboard. It will open
  RUN.
• Now type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open Device Manager.
• You will see all the device list of your PC. Expand Network Adapters

Rollback driver

Double click on your Ethernet driver in Device Manager. Then Click on
Driver tab and select Rollback.

Important: If your drive is performing well and there is no error, Rollback driver button will be grayed out as an option.

If it still does not help, I suggest you to reinstall the drivers for the Ethernet driver and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Note: Once you uninstall the drivers the Ethernet adapter device will be disabled and you won’t be able to connect to internet. So it is advisable to keep all the installer files as a back up in your hard drive.

How to Schedule Auto shutdown when internet get disconnected?

thanks alot for effort, it would defenetly work but i got problem in one step,
when i set action to run a program, i select "shutdown" and nothing happens. how to shutdown ?
