When my Windows 10 desktop PC turns off or shuts the monitors off set for 15 min, one monitor goes off and dark, but the second one keeps searching for a signal and stays slightly illuminated. They both come on just fine, but I don't want the one always on, and it's been doing this for a couple years.I have swapped the display cables, I have swapped the ports they are plugged into, and I just got a new video card. The same thing happens. If I swap cables or ports the other monitor's swap roles the off one stays on and vice versa. It is not the display adapter as I just installed a new one,

Turning on/shutting down issue

Hello,
I cannot turn on my PC at all until I unplug something, like when I try to turn it on it doesn't work, I unplug the Display port then I turn it on and after it turns on I replug it.
I also have problems with shutting down, I sit the pc down from Windows and it shows me the "shutting down" thing and then it suddenly shuts off like it's been unplugged from the wall.
I have my AC, phone, monitor, router and PC.
And I'm using some extensions and adapters because the wall plug is pretty far.
By the way I replaced my Mobo CPU, ram and GPU because the previous build had other problems.

Monitor turns off after 10min (not screensaver or power settings)

Hello just few days ago monitor (Asus PG278Q) started turning off after 10 min while watching media or idle.

Checked screensaver: set to 'none'
Checked power settings: max performance, set to never shut down or sleep.

What else can turn off monitor except screensaver of power settings?

PC settings:
- i7-4790k
- asus PG278Q
- win 10 x64 Home
- 16GB PC2400
- SLi GTX 980 Ti
- 512GB M.2 for OS
- 4GB sata6 for media

Anything would be helpful, already loosing all hope.
Btw tried settings screensaver to some other and choosing 60 min but it still turns off after 10 min or earlier if set so it's not screensaver.

 

PC shuts down after being idle for few mins in Windows 10.

set monitor and hd to turn off in 60 minutes. if computer is idle for just a few minutes they shut down . any suggestions? this never happened with windows 7 pro
