    When opening any video or picture my screen becomes a really bright and washed out white


    As title, whenever I open ANY picture or video stored on my pc the screen becomes a really really bright and washed out white like the contrast has been turned right up, the only way to fix it is to restart my pc, ive looked all over the net for a fix and no one seems to know the issue I am having, Help please!

    screen brightness on windows 10

    Hi,

    Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

    To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

    • Click Start, then select Settings.
    • Choose System, then select Display.
    • Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

    Feel free to post back if you have other concern.

    No brightness control_some images shown negative image

    Brand new computer, installed version of Windows 10 Pro shows an extremely white washed out screen and many images (not all) are shown with colors reversed as in a negative image. There is no brightness control that I can find. Any suggestions?
