When PC is powered on, display resolutions are limited

When PC is powered on, display resolutions are limited KgXnueWa2RoVa5LUKGgGDqMSrTq_CLPAbM7b9vhZZW8.jpg

My PC is connected to two displays, one via HDMI 2.0, the other via DP. The DP display is the main one and runs at QHD (2560 x 1440) @ 144 Hz.

However, when the PC is powered on, the max resolution becomes 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz. When I extend the image across both displays, the other display (also QHD 144 Hz) works fine.

The fix is to replug the DP cable. Anyone know why this happens? It seems to happen every time.

  2. Display resolution keeps changing

    Hi Rick,

It might be caused by a faulty driver that's why your display resolution keeps changing. We
suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the display driver, see steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X and click on
      Device Manager.
    • For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right click your graphics card and select Uninstall.
    • Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
