Windows 10: When recording clips with the xbox game bar, my mic isn't being picked up

My mic works on literally everything else except for this. I don't know why this one doesn't, it's a USB mic if that changes anything. If I use my webcam mic it will be picked up, but the quality isn't very great which makes the clips much worse. Anyone know how to fix this?

Xbox Game Bar only records 15 second game clips

When I record a game clip using xbox game bar, it only records 15 seconds and not 30 despite having it set to record 30 seconds, this happens when I use the Windows key + Alt + G shortcut, or when I manually open game bar and hit record game clip. Anyone
got any idea how to fix it?

XBox Record Mic Recordings.

When I use the "record that" feature when I am playing video games, the recording is properly relaying the sounds of the game I'm playing as well as the the sound of my mic, but it is not picking up the sounds of my friends voices on discord. I notice
in a very select few of my clips you can hear my friends' voices but for the most part it just sounds like I'm talking to myself. Is there a way to make it so Xbox record always records all my friends' voices on discord as well as my own?
