Windows 10: When reformatting a pc, how do you choose which drive windows 10 downloads to

I'm attempting to reformat and reinstall windows onto my computer but every time I have it's downloaded to my hard drive when I want it to go onto my ssd, I also don't have the skills to uninstall a hard drive from my computer so ideally a method without having to take the other hard drive out would be great. Thanks!

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Reformatting the c drive

• What the exact error message that you're getting when you try to reformat your C: drive?
• Why do you want to reformat your your C: drive?
• What troubleshooting steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
• Did you make any significant changes to your computer prior to the issue?

Recover or Reformat?

The reformat won't budge?

I did what you said and then was told to remove the CD from the CD-Rom Drive, put in the recovery CD and then press the 'OK' button to continue

So I changed to the next disk but the OK doesn't appear to be being 'pressed'. Yes I have pushed enter on the keyboard which is what I have been using to get me through the other steps..

Any suggestions?
