Windows 10: When restarting windows 10 in safe-mode, edge shows up and windows crashes at start-up

I got blue-screen in Windows 10 Enterprise edition, so I go into the safe mode with networking to check for issues. However, the safe mode started up strangely: 1 the desktop icons do not show up, and a Edge window appears, showing Microsoft Q&A section; 2 I close the edge window , then another edge window shows up, showing the page "What is Data Execution Prevention DEP?"3 I close the edge window again, then an pop-up appears, telling me the "Windows" has crashed;4 Steps 2 and 3 repeats for a while, and then the desktop returns to normal, all desktop icons shows up as expected.I

Safe mode not showing up?

Another method that may work is let it start to boot. As it shows the windows loading screen cut the power. Then try to start it again and the diagnosis screen should load telling you there is a problem and asking you what you want to do. Load safe mode

 

Can’t restart in safe mode

Good day all! I have an issue that prevents Windows 11 (22H2 22621.1194) from fully loading in normal mode. When I follow the steps for Safe Mode:

1. At the login screen, hold down the shift key and press the Power Button then Restart to make it enter Recovery Environment.
   
2. Now please select Troubleshoot > Select Advanced options > Select Startup Settings then Click Restart.
   
3. However, I do not get the startup options menu - the computer just starts back up like in normal mode.
   

Any suggestions?

 

Password not accepted in Safe mode

Have you tried all the above steps suggested by Sangeeta Sarkar on September 13, 2015.

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you trying to login the Microsoft account or the Local account in safe mode?
• Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
• What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking.

• 
  At the login screen click on the power symbol.
  
• 
  Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.
  
• 
  After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  Select advanced options under
  Troubleshoot screen.
  
• 
  Click on Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
  Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.
