    Hi,

    We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

    • Press "Windows" + "E" button on the keyboard.
    • Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
    • Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
    • Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
    • Now try to rip.

    I suggest you to follow these methods below, to fix your issue:

    Method 1:

    Run the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter and check, if the issue persists.

    Follow these steps, to run the troubleshooter:
    a. Type Troubleshooting on the search bar and click Troubleshooting under Settings.

    b. Now select Programs in the search option.

    c. Under Media Player, select Windows Media Player Settings to run the troubleshooter.

    Method 2:

    If that doesn’t work, I suggest you to uninstall. Then, re-install Windows Media Player and then check, if this fixes the issue.

    Let's try to follow these steps below:

    a. Type “Turn Windows Features on or off” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.

    b. Expand “Media Features” option.

    c. Un-check “Media Player”.

    d. Restart the computer.

    Follow these steps to re-install Windows Media Player:

    a. Type “Turn Windows Features on or off” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.

    b. Expand “Media Features” option.

    c. Make a check mark next to “Media Player”.

    d. Restart the computer.

    When you copy music, pictures, and videos from your PC to a blank CD or DVD, it's called "burning." When you copy music, pictures, and videos from a CD or DVD to your PC, it's called "ripping." You can use Windows Media Player in Windows 10 to do both.

    • What is the exact error message or code you receive when you try to play the cd or try to Rip?
