Windows 10: When starting up windows, it wont show taskbar nor does it work

It takes a long time logging in from the user to windows. Then the startbar is just constantly loading if you hover the mouse, and not showing. Windows button also doesn't open start. But the shut down function of hitting the power button on the pc still works. I tried opening notepad files on the desktop, they work. I just tried going into safe mode. Where I'm now doing a virus scan. It also took a long time to load again. And the start bar was now showing, which it wasn't when I did normal startup. But it still said it was loading for a while, but then started working.Does anyone know what m

Taskbar not working


Hello, there are so many threads on this topic, which can readily be found using the white search box at the top.

Here are a few I've found for you. I suggest you work through these, and if no success, please list everything you've tried and post back. Good luck!

Taskbar hides and shows itself after opening start menu.

Steps:

1. Using HDMI for a second monitor.
2. Open start menu using the icon.
3. Close start menu using the icon.
4. Click anywhere other than the task bars. (e.g. an open window, the desktop, even the first monitor's desktop)
   
5. Taskbar on second monitor slides down to be hidden.
6. Taskbar then immediately slides up to reappear.

If after closing the start menu (step 3), you click on the taskbar, then click outside the taskbar, this behavior does not occur.

Performing the steps on the main monitor's taskbar does not produce this behavior.

This has been happening for as long as I can remember using this laptop (~3years), with different nVidia drivers and Windows 10 updates.
