Windows 10: when trying to clear files for more storage I erased thigs I shouldnt have

I submitted last evening. I rec a reply but couldn't hook up today I tried but no show. So I have a little predicament I had been being told every time I was in the house to free up some space because my c:\ was getting full. And it was so I decided to free up some, so I had noticed on my c: an old windows files or pretty much a whole system so I decided to get rid of it not being needed and all. Well when I did I guess I got rid of my desktop also unknowlingly Now , I have for days looking for it but everytime I click on desktop, documents, downloads I get a message as follows. The desktop is not available. If you locate it on this pc, make sure that it is connected and try again. Which I haven't a clue what it means . Please understand I am a student in all this, not a guru. I was the guru in the motorpool in the Army, but Im an idiot with computers, but I am trying to learn. I need help here I just hope I haven't done anything serious. What it looks like to me is that the kids are trying to go home but home isn't where it is supposed to be. please help.

Finally! An alternative to eraser...

it looks much cleaner then the eraser so that is a big step up.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

Great, I looked at using the utility built into Revo uninstaller as it offered this capability. Programs like I need are often lost in larger topics where fully clearing a set of instructions or files (usually multiple times) is a necessary step along the long path to finding the right solution.
