Windows 10: When trying to log into my email, my friend is brought directly to the Microsoft...

As the title says. Been looking over some security concerns lately and wanted to test how it is for others trying to access my mail. I always thought that the reason for me not having to type my password when logging in, is that my devices are marked as "Trusted" on my Microsoft account, so the authenticator is enough. When i'm on another PC, or someone else is trying to get access, i want them to try and type the password first, before even seeing the authenicator page. Hell, if i was really paranoid i want the option to remove all my PC's as trusted (just keep the phone) so even if someone stole my laptop and phone, they'd still need the password. As far as i can tell this is how it works with other services.





So why is he brought directly to that page? He lives a good 4 hours away from me, so even it being a location thing seems weird.

Can't link directly to a wish list. You need to email it to yourself and then post the link it gives you there. Then I'll look at it. *Smile It's obvious you're suggesting an i7 build though. hehe

The likely explanation is that you are using a different character encoding than
your friend.

For example, you may be sending special characters in another language to
someone who only uses English, and they are then displayed as binary
in hexadecimal.

I suggest to compare the email you sent with what she sees to find out which
are these characters.

Do let us know the type of the email address you are using (live.com/ outlook.com/ Hotmail.com)?

Also, is this issue specific to the particular recipient?

I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to log-in to the online account, try to send an email to the recipient and check.

Step 2: Try to log-in to the web browser, perform step 1 and check.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to contact the ESP/ ISP service provide and check if that helps.
