Windows 10: When trying to open a game i get "Failed to initialize DirectX Audio"

Hi! A couple week's ago i had a problem with my power source in my pc, so i had to change it for a new one wich i was able to a couple days ago but since the first moment i started the pc i had no audio at all, no matter what i do i can't find the problem i updated every driver i could and now i get this msg when i try to open some games

whenever i try to start up a game I get this message; "Failed to initialize audio. This may be an issue with your installation of xAudio 2.7 XAudio is available in the directx end user runtime(june 2010)" and i dont know what to do please help

Hi, i've tried the following.

Method 1: I'm running Window's 10. I cannot seem to find a "display" tab. I've found "display settings." From there I don't see any option for "Advanced settings" or "troubleshoot" tab. Any guidance on how to find it on Window's 10 would be appreciated.

Method 2: All controllers are working. The game, Civilization will not even fire up before I get the "DirectX initialization Error.

Method 3: The diagnostic tool Dxdiag does not list a error and the window's system is reporting Direct X: version 12 is working.

Thank you Aswin! The instructions from Andreas Socratous didn't work because "Conexant SmartAudio HD" wasn't listed as a choice to disable. I used Vijay Kroupolu M's Method 1: Clean Boot. I just followed Step 1 and 2; didn't do any actual "troubleshooting."
The dialogue box isn't appearing now when I turn on the computer! I don't know if SmartAudio is working or not, but I'm not sure if that makes any difference. Thanks!
