Hey all, hope your day is going well.Recently my PC has been encountering numerous BSOD issues that have randomly started to appear. The PC ran fine before, but now when my 2nd Ram stick is inserted, I get a slew of BSOD errors. I bought the PC in 2020 and it has worked flawlessly until this point. My specs are: GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060CPU: IntelR CoreTM i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz, 2904 Mhz, 6 Cores, 12 Logical ProcessorsMotherboard: B460M DS3H AC-Y1Ram: Oloy DDR4 Ram 16gb 2x8gb 3000 MHzIt was a pre-built from ABS. I am just wondering if this is a Ram related issue or if there is so

    :)

  2. Windows reserves 1 full stick of ram for no good reason

I hope anyone can help, I have seen posts relating to this before but mines slightly different.

If I slot in 1x 8gb stick of ram everything is fine, however I need 16gb to run some of my more powerful apps and games.

As soon as I slot in my second identical stick of 8gb ram windows reserves the full second stick...

I have tried 2 different sets of Ram both 8gb different brand gaming ram and still persists so it's definitely not a stick issue. I have also tried Different slot configuration still no luck.

I have tried updating bios no luck.

Did a brand new windows install no luck...

Did all the bios settings configuration as per this forum suggestions... still no luck...

Tried on a different MOBO still no luck still does the same thing, I can't seem to find what's causing this.

If I slot the sticks into Hubs PC with all his equipment it's all good but the moment I slot it in with my windows install SSD it bugs out and does this.

    Please assist.

I have no idea what else to do.

to add all was fine until May/June of 2022 with a windows update

  3. Windows blue screening with 2 sticks of ram installed, works with 1 in any slot and both sticks work as long as they are on their own.

No but I cannot boot to the operating system with 2 sticks installed as it will BSOD instantly, right now I did what you said, uninstalled gpu drivers, reinstalled them then restarted made sure everything was working then shut down, waited 5min then installed the other ram stick and now my pc wont even boot to BIOS. Is there a point in testing the ram if its just 1 stick? i have tested if my pc works with both the ram modules individually and my pc performed fine without a single BSOD.

Windows 10 Update Only Works With 1 RAM stick

Didn't notice this particular issue anywhere else on here. Windows 10 recently downloaded an update which required a restart. After the restart I got caught the dreaded BSOD restart loop, each time with a different error (IRQL_not_less_than_or_equal, Memory_management,
page_fault_in_nonpaged_area ...etc). It was different every time. I'm a fairly experienced computer user/troubleshooter, so I managed to narrow the problem down to a RAM issue. Thinking that one of the RAM sticks was faulty and fearing that my motherboard
had fried somehow I took out one of the RAM sticks to start. Eureka! The computer booted as if nothing had happened, albeit a little slowly due to having 50% of the RAM it usually had. So, I put the other RAM stick back in by itself to see if that was just
a faulty stick. Windows started normally again. I tried putting both sticks in a variety of configurations, both for dual channel and not. Windows would not start regardless of the 2 stick configuration, but would start with only one stick no matter which
stick it was or where I put in on my motherboard. Next step: I re-formatted and installed Windows 7. All of a sudden both sticks work and recognize the full 16GB. I try re-upgrading to Windows 10, and it gets stuck right back in the restart loop with 2 sticks
of RAM. I have since tried other RAM sticks from my other computer and it doesn't matter what capacity, speed, latency ...etc, with 2 RAM sticks Windows 10 will not boot, but will with one. As of this time I have reverted back to Windows 7 and all is well,
but I liked that Windows 10 was a bit faster and worked better with my remote monitor. I can post specifics about my PC if needed, but it really isn't relevant. The fact is: it was working just fine with 2 sticks of RAM until the latest update, and ceased
to work afterwards. Is this a known issue with Windows 10 that I just need to wait out until its fixed?
