    When using a displayport usb-c input and a hdmi input, hdmi turns off when lid closed


    I have one monitor that's 3440*1440 which needs a displayport to work above 50hzI have another that's 1080pIf they're both connected via usb-c to hdmi, closing the laptop lids would have them both display, although the larger monitor is stuck on a lower framerate.If I have the larger monitor connected via displayport to usb-c, the hdmi display will not function.If I turn off the laptop monitor via display settings, the hdmi output will also not work.Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

    HDMI Input doesn't connect

    Hi NoahM04,

    Does your laptop have HDMI input?

    Only a very few laptops have HDMI input, HDMI on laptops is normally for sending a signal to an external monitor . .

    Audio Issues Switching Between HDMI Inputs

    Having problems with audio when switching between HDMI Inputs. Have tried updating drivers, changing output devices, windows audio restart, switching which HDMI they are on, changed HDMI cords etc. NOTHING works. We have a PC in HDMI 3 and a PS4 in HDMI 2. HDMI 2 always works fine. However, when switching back to the PC, we MUST restart the PC when we switch inputs back to it in order to receive audio.

    We also have the issue if we turn off the display and leave the pc running. We must restart the entire computer before we receive audio in the PC input. We are assuming this is a windows issue of some sort because we don't have the issue with the PS4 input. Only when we are on the PC.

    We have never had these issues before under the same setup for a few years now. Issues arose on their own in the past few months,

    Any suggestions?
