    I'm using Version 10.8.4 2111 of Microsoft Remote Desktop on macos. The sounds from Windows comes out of the speakers, regardless of the output settings in macos. So when I use a headset, all other systems sounds come through the headset, EXCEPT Remote Desktop, which still comes out of the speakers. Macos doesn't have by application sound settings, it's all or nothing, so very confused!

    Please help me with the below details to understand your issue in a better way:



    1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?


    If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
    Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
    fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store    .



    If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

    link     and scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on
    Microsoft remote desktop support under the Publisher info.



    However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the
    TechNet forum.

    No Sound When Using Microsoft Remote Desktop

    Hi,

    I recently downloaded the Microsoft Remote Desktop App on my iPad, and it is connecting nicely to my Windows 10 PC. However, all sound is still playing through my HDMI connected speakers. I would like to switch all sound to come through the iPad. How
    would I go about doing this? Note, I am not a computer guru so please use simple terms When using Microsoft Remote Desktop on Macos, sound only comes out of the speakers,... :)

    Desktop speaker suggestions

    My current desktop speakers are being shitty and the audio's only coming out of the left speaker. Any suggestions on some good speakers to get? I have a logitech set with 5 speakers and subwoofer but I only use the front left and right ones so ideally a good sounding 2.1 set.
