    When using my Quickbooks I keep getting, "The operating system is not presently configured...


    After upgrading from QB 2023 to QB 2024, I get these pop-ups when I open a company file: - once I dismiss them the file opens OK.I have checked for Windows updates, reinstalled the C++ redistributable.

    I see that you are getting pop up "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application" while you are opening Microsoft Edge. This might be due to the software conflicts in the system.

    Please follow the below methods and check if it helps,

    Method 1: Boot the system in Safe Mode and check if it helps.

    I suggest you to login to safe mode with networking and check the status of the issue. To enter into Safe Mode in Windows 10, follow the steps given below.

    • Restart your PC.
    • Press Shift + Restart button to restart.
    • Click See Advanced Repair Options.
    • Click Troubleshoot.
    • Click Advanced Options.
    • Click Windows Startup Settings.
    • Click Restart.
    • You then see a list where you can choose Safe Mode with Networking.
    If the issue still persists perform a clean boot on the system and check if it helps.

    Method 2: Perform a Clean boot on the system.

    Perform a clean boot to check if any third party application is causing the issue, as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.

    Note:

    Method 3: Windows defender
