    I've worked in sprite work for some years now and recently got a new computer, the paint program keeps deleting what I copy unless I flip the selection otherwise it will disappear and I have to paste it all over again, what is wrong with it?

    We realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Paint greyed out option in Windows 10. We will certainly help you.

    • How exactly are you opening the pictures in Paint?
    • Have you tried to copy and paste the pictures in paint and check?

    We suggest you to once try copy the picture and then paste it in paint and check if you are able to use the cut option.

    How to copy and item and move it to a new area in Paint

    Hi Ush41

    If you are using the Paint application in Windows, you ability to copy an item from a photo is limited to the Select tools in that application .. .

    On the Menu bar, click Select and choose a suitable selection tool

    Select the item or area you want to copy carefully

    Press Ctrl + C to copy that item or area, then press Ctrl + V to paste that

    You can then move that into the location required . . .
