  1. When using RunAs, elevated account is used by applications other than intended!!

Hello,As IT administrator, I use RunAs throughout the day to run various tasks and applications which requires elevation.I have access to the Firewall logs, and I noticed that once I use RunAs to elevate any task or application, such as CMD, PowerShell, etc., any of the web browsers Edge, FireFox, Chrome uses my elevated account in their sessions instead of my user standard account! This means my elevated account is being used by an application without requesting that! I am wondering if anyone has noticed this, and what could be the reason for that and how to fix it? Clearly, I don't want

    :)

When using RunAs, elevated account is used by applications other than intended!!

How to runas an application requiring elevation with a different user?

I want to run regedit as a different user (i.e. to edit that user's registry entries).

So I've run cmd as an Administrator, then did

It asks for my password but after I type it in, I get

I understand that regedit has to be run as an administrator, but I am running the command prompt as administrator. OtherUserName is an Administrator type user.

I'm guessing that even though I'm running for the current user as administrator, my acceptance of that doesn't pass over to OtherUserName.

But this is something I am able to do in Windows 7 Embedded.

    I've tried:
