Windows 10: When waking from prolonged sleep, the fans start and the screen comes on momentarily then...

I've just installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 onto a new 1Tb SSD. If the system has been asleep for some time, maybe over an hour, when I wake it up, the fans start and the screen comes on for a moment and then goes blank. I think if I leave it, the system may eventually restart on its own after a few minutes. That happened once but I haven't checked it more than once. Usually I just power the PC off and on again because it's too long to wait.


Any ideas how I could fix this issue?

• Go to Control Panel > Power options.
• Click Change plan settings for Power saver.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.
