Windows 10: When Windows 10 service ends in October.

When Windows 10 stops getting updates in October, will my system that can not be updated stop operating? Or will there be not problem? My system works just fine for what I do with it and does not need to be new. If this is a way to make me get a new system because mine is old and still usable is the biggest question? My system is 14 years old and does everything I need it to do. It is still on the same battery from purchase. If you buy quality you should not have to keep buying new all the time! Just asking if the end of update service will make my system not work as I would like?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
