    Whenever I attempt to log into a microsoft application on my PC it says my account does not...


    Whenever I try to sign into something such as the microsoft store it says that my account does not exist, and then says it does when I try to make a new account. No account recovery attempts have been succesful, but it been less than 2 years since my account was last logged into so I don't think my account has been deleted. It also rejects my attempts to sign into other accounts other than my own with each try saying how "an error occured try again later", but later never comes. How do I fix this issue?

    register PC with microsoft; use local account to log in

    Just simply log in with your Microsoft Account.
    Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

    Just go back to using a local account:
    Switch to Local Account in Windows 10

    Hopefully the tutorials are step by step enough.

    How do I register my PC with my Microsoft account?
    But when I'm done, I'd like to use my local account each time to log in.
    Please tell me how to do that.
    I am very new at Win 10, and need step by step instructions.

    Also may I suggest you change email accounts to one of the following.....

    Gmail
    Outlook

    The reason is they both use "Step two verification". This style of verification means even if a hacker gets your password they cannot log in to your account. You see every time someone try's to log in that hasn't been verified you will get a text or a phone call giving you a final code to log in. Its very easy and simple to setup also. The great thing is once you setup your Email application with a specific "application password" from that account you never have to log in again AND your account is protected from being logged in from foreign entities.

    I like the new outlook personally however Gmail is also damn good. Gmail also has an IP tracker that allows you to see WHERE the account has been logged in from. Anyway let us know if you wanna change over and have any questions. We will be happy to help and welcome to TPU!
