Windows 10: whenever I click on ? question mark keypad on keyboard, The MAIL app pops up automatically

I have a very weird issue. Whenever I click Question Mark ? on the Keyboard Keypad, the MAIL app from Microsoft pops up. First I thought I may have mistakenly assigned it as a shortcut key for MAIL but I can't find it to undo it. So I just did reset to default settings and it was still the same issue. Even if I unistall mail app, it doesn't go away it just shows another pop us "open with other app".Anyone have had the same issue before? Would appreciate your help!

On screen keypad keeps popping up!.

This would be a great fix IF I never wanted to use the on screen keypad! But I'm using a small tablet without an attached keyboard, I NEED to use the on screen keypad...WHEN I NEED IT! Every fix overlooks this option.

Usually, I just click on the keyboard icon on tool bar or in some cases, when I click on the blank search bar, it automatically opens the on screen keypad. THIS IS FINE!

However, when I'm just scrolling thru posts, etc., the on screen keypad pops up continuously. THIS ISSUE IS THE ONE WHICH NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!!

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Windows 10 Mail not marking emails as read

1. Go to mail app, Setting > Reading Pane > "Mark item as read" section.
   
2. There you can select how you want the mail app to know when any mail is read, either by:
   
   • marking it as read on selection change, or
     
   • marking it as read if mail is viewed by more than 5 (or any) seconds
