Windows 10: Whenever I do something online like play a game, it disconnects me but my wifi is fine

When I got this laptop around a few years ago I wanted to play games online with my friends and I always had a good time! But sometimes when I played, I would get a message that said I lost connection or "client timeout" or something along those terms, but my Wi-Fi never disconnected. No matter what game I played, whether it was Roblox or a game on Steam, as long as I was playing online, I would always get disconnected It happened at random, it could either take 10 minutes or 1 hour, but I would eventually get kicked out for the same reason. Hi. My wifi keeps disconnecting when I play certain games.

So since I changed my wifi to another brand (1 month ago), my wifi disconnects when I play certain games. Here is the list of games that disconnect : genshin, risk of rain 2, muck, tunic, ghostrunner, journey, slime rancher 2 and more that I probably forgot.

I have tried to get closer to my router and it does reconnect but I still can't play those games. I still haven't tried to use LAN and I am planning to but I still don't have an extension so that will have to wait.

All those game come from different launcher like xbox launcher, epic and steam.

I am using the latest version of windows 11.

 

My wifi disconnects when playing certain games.

I have no clue when it started happening. Whenever I play certain games on my laptop like lets say fortnite, rainbow six siege, valorant, etc. My wifi suddenly disconnects after being in the game for about 5 minutes. I have no clue why. However if I play
minecraft or Among us, the wifi is stable. I have already tried updating my wifi wireless driver, it is up to date, but it still does not work. I still get disconnected. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I would love to play the games that I
used to enjoy playing. I am unsure if its due to a windows update or driver update. I tried rolling back and picking out previous wireless drivers but those don't work either. Thank you to whoever decides to help with my problem!

It's same, always disconnecting if i'm using a lan or a wireless, it's fine if i'm using a cellphone data hotspot, thank you for your reply man!

i do a lot of tips, network reset and anything i can do from youtube. it's just happened when my technician upgraded my computer and change my wifi network (PLDT) the computer is okay, but the problem is why it's disconnecting if i'm using a wifi while playing games and if i'm using a hotspot it's fine
