    Whenever I plug my earphones there is a strong continuous noise


    Yesterday I heard a white noise sound using my computer, using youtube which I entered through chrome. Suddenly the earphones stopped working, while the speakers worked well. I switched earphones, but they still hadn't worked.


    I restarted my computer, and ever since, whenever I plug in my earphones and enter an app like zoom, groove music, youtube, etc., I hear the sounds of the white noise from yesterday. I entered the task manager and ended the tasks of google chrome, but that hadn't solved it. When I change earphones the sound still appears. When I unplug them and enter the zoom, groove music or youtube using my computer speakers - there is no sound issue, and everything works well.


    I tried to open the troubleshooter, which stated there isn't any problem both in the earphones and the speakers.

    I tried update the driver of the speakers, but it said I have the latest version.


    What else can I do so that I can again use my earphones?

  2. Earphones not working

    Recently received my Windows 7 / Samsung Focus phone. All setup and syncing music and even adding NetFlix with no problems. However, when I plug in the earphones...the sound continues to come from the phone speaker. The earphones
    do not have any sound output to them. I'm trying to figure out if this is a hardware issue or if there is something that I haven't found yet related to enabling the earphones.


    Any Suggestions?

  3. Does windows 10 recognize when earphones are plugged in?

    I would like to inform that Windows 10 does recognize and display a prompt when earphones are plugged in. I would like to ask if you are able to listen to sound from the earphone when plugged in.

    I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

    • Type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar and press Enter.
    • Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
    • A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

    Sound plays through both speakers and earphones

    Hi

    After the anniversary update of windows 10, I observed static noise in my speakers. So, I uninstalled the audio driver and again installed it from HP site. Now, there's no static noise, although there's occasional crackling noise in my earphones.

    The main problem that I face now is that, on connecting my earphones to my laptop, sound continues to play in both speakers and earphones simultaneously... I've tried all the solutions listed in a few other queries here, on the community, but nothing seems
    to help..

    Please do help me as soon as possible... : (
