Windows 10: Whenever I try to open any app through the PC xbox app I get hit with the Error code:...

I have never had trouble installing the apps, but once I try to open any app it hits me with that error message and forces me to close it. Weirdly I have been using a work around of opening the app, waiting for the error message, closing the app and then after 3 times doing that in a row it would open and work. Unfortunately, that stopped working yesterday and I am unable to use any Xbox installed app. This started on windows 10 about a year ago and has continued even after updating to windows 11 a few weeks ago.

Step 1: Run the troubleshooter for Windows Apps

Step 2: Reset the Windows Store to clear the Store cache.

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.   
• Click on Command prompt (Admin). 
  
• Type wsreset.exe and then hit Enter. 

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall the Xbox App to update it.

• Click Start and type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
• Right-click and then select Run as administrator.
• Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage.
• Hit Enter. 
• Launch Windows Store and download the Xbox App.

Xbox PC App Error

We appreciate your response and cooperation regarding this matter. Based on your reply, it appears that you need to enable the Xbox services to ensure that the app is up and running. You may follow the steps below to enable Xbox Live services:

• Press the Start button and type Services on the search box.
• On the list of services, look for Xbox Live Auth Manager,
  Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live Networking Service.

The next steps should be done to the three mentioned services above:

• Right click on the service and select Properties.
• Set the Startup type to Automatic. If the service isn't started, click
  Start.
• Save the changes.
• Launch the Xbox App and sign in to your account again.

xbox app won't open saying "xbox needs an update ..."

Finally!!

The exact steps listed didn't work but this is what I did.

1. Download Xbox Insider from Microsoft Store
2. Open Xbox Insider > Join
3. Go to "Previews" > find "PC Gaming" > Join
4. Wait 2-3 minutes
5. Download Xbox App from this link > https://www.xbox.com/en-US/apps/xbox-app-for-pc > install it (if it still showing error wait for another 2 minutes)

6. Go into the store app and an update will show as available for the xbox app. (150mb or so)
