Windows 10: Whenever press pause on BitLocker drive decryption window it shows not responding. What to...

So I was decrypting my drive and I had to remove it so I pressed pause but when I pressed paused it showed not responding and everything froze as I clicked on this pc icon on the desktop so it opened and started loading and halfway through loading it said not responding and asked to end process and I clicked on end process and it froze again cmd was not opening BitLocker manager was not opening and when I disconnect the drive everything went back to normal so I connected the drive again and the window popped up and I showed this but I think it is stuck what should I do?and it shows this in Bit

For future reference, instead of using the TASK MANAGER to restart, you can simply hold CTRL + SHIFT and right click on blank space on the Task bar, to bring up 'Exit Explorer'.

Another option is to use software.

Bitlocker decryption paused at 73.1% and stuck

I plugged in an external HD that was protected by bitlocker.

A pop-up windows shows that Decryption is paused at 73.1. There is a resume button but when clicked, it only makes it worse and window is Not Responding.

On cmd, I checked manage-bde -status:

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to fix the issue.

1. Open the command prompt as admin.
   
2. Type in manage-bde –off <drive> and hit
   Enter.
   
   manage-bde –resume <drive>
   

manage-bde –on <drive>

Replace Drive by drive letter

1. Restart the computer and check the status of the issue
