    Where are application error event reports placed?


    I have an application (FahCore_a7.exe) failing. The event Windows log for the application failure shows:

    I would assume the report (id d137c9d5-7742-498c-84fe-e1d5a2042064) might tell me more.

    Haven't gone down this road before so I'm pretty ignorant about how to trouble shot the problem.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    WerFault.exe is a Windows error reporting service and is able to monitor applications.

    For more information on why you get the error, provide us the event viewer logs to know more about the event errors that is caused in the computer.

    • Press Win + X key on the keyboard and select
      Event Viewer.
    • Click Application logs on the left pane and provide us the events here to further analyze the issue.

    Failed with 0x490 modifying AppModel Runtime status for package

    I have concluded that the Event Viewer is mostly useless. At best it is a poor excuse for decent error reporting by an application. At the worst it's a false alarm system.

    Where are application error event reports placed?

    0xC0000028 STATUS_BAD_STACK = An invalid or unaligned stack was encountered during an unwind operation.

    This is a Windows 2000 Executive STATUS error message. Choose an option from the message box. Then contact your technical support group because the application is broken.

    I think the Report ID is a random no. assigned by MS for the purpose of fault reporting- a unique identifier which Microsoft assigns to a particular application crash. It will not help you resolve this.

    Have you checked you have an appropriate version of the program?
