Windows 10: Where are my imported pictures

    Where are my imported pictures


    I've tried to import pictures from my iphone to my PC, three times. It says it is complete but I can't find them after import. They are not in any picture files, not in downloads, they disappear. I even tried to import them to a named file and it was empty. Where did they go???

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.

    • Where exactly did you imported the pictures?
    If you have imported it to your system, you can just copy those pictures and paste them to the location wherever you want.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Select the pictures you want to move.
    • Right click on selected pictures and click on copy.
    • Open the location where you want to paste. Again right click and click on
      paste.

    +Thanks for you reply but that is not letting me choose where I import pictures ,it will just ask me to import to c:/users/'user'/Pictures and I want to save on a different partition.

    Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

    Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.


    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
    That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

    Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
