  1. Where are the details of automatically uninstalled updates?

I awoke this morning to find that my PC was frozen. The screen was black, the fans were cranking; turning the monitor off and on had no effect, nor did anything with the keyboard or mouse. I rebooted the computer, and the BIOS performed a self-diagnosis, then allowed Windows 10 to start. When it finished starting up, it had a notification that "We removed some recently installed updates to recover your device from a startup failure".

Where can I find the logs detailing what exactly happened? If this is a Windows OS update, then I don't think there's much I can or should do, but if the problem was with one of my programs or drivers updating, I would like to know which one it was.

On a potentially related note, I have been dealing with video card issues, where the monitor goes to an empty green screen--not the "green screen of death", just a blank screen. I've done a couple of things to try to resolve this, but have stuck to the drivers recommended by Microsoft and AMD.

    :)

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
