Windows 10: Where are the files in the description located, and how do I get BITS to always run and...

When I enter bitsadmin /list /allusers at the command prompt, it gives me {EAA4CCD9-5E6B-4671-92BE-AEBB07F2FAFF} 'Edge Component Updater' TRANSFERRED 1 / 1 1093663 / 1093663 {4EBF8D6D-8DE6-4209-B022-2EF402B74A6C} 'Edge Component Updater' TRANSFERRED 1 / 1 6258 / 6258 {31132DC1-D2E1-438C-B515-BBEB5F935A66} 'Edge Component Updater' TRANSFERRED 1 / 1 164262 / 164262. Where are these files located, and how do I get BITS to always run and update Microsoft Edge?

Location service is greyed out

Thank you for responding.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused for you, I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check If it helps.

Step 1: Steps to turn on the Location settings.

• Login as an administrator.
• Press Windows key, type Location settings and select
  Change location settings.
• Check whether Location for this device is On by clicking on
  Change.
• Also turn on Location as well.

Step 2: And as you are unable to set the service Geolocation service to automatic, I suggest you to run SFC scan and check.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
  
• 
  After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.
  

Try to set the service to automatic by following the steps provided in the above post by Praveen Venugopal.

Hi, you would need to describe exactly what you have done step by step as the possibilities in your minimal description are many. We don't even know for sure exactly where your original disk is or what method you have used, so no point suggesting data recovery methods yet. Edit Services "Description" field


As title suggests, I'm wondering how to edit the description of services that appear in "services.msc"... I have several programs that run as services that I know and use, but have no descriptions at all.

Would be nice to be able to see these and immediately recognize them when viewing list of running services.
