    Where are the release notes for app updates in the Windows Store?


    In a recent update to the Windows Store app, release notes for apps have been done away with. Can these please be brought back? I would always read the notes when updating. It helps me with a few things:

    • I can find out if an app is about to crash my system.
    • I can find out if an app I had stopped using because of a bug has had that bug fixed.
    • I can find out if an app has a new feature added that would mean I can start using it in preference to a similar app


    This is far better than opening each app individually, hoping that I stumble on whatever the change might be. Or opening an app only to find out that it no longer works, and then lose hours of productivity trying to find alternatives.

    Can't install apps from the Windows Store

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I understand your inconvenience. We will assist you to resolve this issue.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Navigate to the location,
    C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb

    • Delete everything in this folder.
    Note: This shall delete all the Windows Store files and update. You may have to reinstall the updates.

    I suggest you to refer the following Microsoft help article and check if it helps.
