Windows 10: Where can I find Latest Drivers of Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device?

Hi, where can I find Latest Drivers of Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device? when I try to download the Vaio control center I get a error and when I searched online for reasons, I need to update my Parser Device. When I go on their website Sony there are only drivers latest for 64-bit when I need for 32-Bit. Where can I find latest drivers for my parser device? Sony Vaio SFEP driver

I have a Sony Vaio VPCCW2S1E. It was upgraded to Windows 10 when the free upgrade became available, but the Nvidia drivers weren't available so I put W7 back on. I now have a new laptop and decided to try upgrading the Sony again so our son can have it.

I have done a few clean installs on other laptops, so did a clean install, after some waiting and doing Windows updates, drivers were all installed, including the Nvidia ones. There are two exclamation marks in device manager. One is for the SFEP driver, the other for the Ricoh memory stick slot.

I have most of the drivers for Windows 7 on an SD card, but Windows 10 won't accept the SFEP driver. Without that the graphics don't work properly apparently.

Also, usually after a clean install on Sony's they need the SFEP, Shared Library and Setting Utility Series drivers adding.

So - does anyone know where I can get the SFEP driver (or the others) that will work with Windows 10? Sony's drivers webpage for this model no longer seems to be there.

I believe shared library and setting utility are needed to ensure function keys work and SFEP works with the NVidia drivers. Anyway although Windows 10 was working without them, the laptop got extremely overheated so I'm thinking the SFEP is necessary somehow. It doesn't overheat with Windows 7 on.

I did find this link for SFEP driver for Sony Windows 10 but not sure if it's a good for any model of Sony laptop.

Sony Vaio keyboard not working

I have a Sony Vaio laptop model number VGN-AR88E which belongs to my local church. A few months ago I upgraded the laptop from windows vista to windows 10 and every thing was working fine.

However I recently brought it home to update it again and after the updates were complete the keyboard did not work. Suspecting a driver issue I went into the device manager and everything seemed fine as it said the latest driver was installed and that the device was working properly.

I then went to the Sony support website to see if they could provide me with new driver that I could install there were none.

So I went back to the device manager and I noticed that there were 2 devices with issues one was a mass storage controller and the other just said unknown and in the properties there was no helpful information that I could see that could help me identify it.

However after a lot of research and running several driver update scans (I did not download or install anything as a result of the scans) I identified it as the Sony firmware extension parser so I went to the Sony website and downloaded the latest driver available for my model and installed it after I installed the driver I rebooted the laptop to see if it had fixed my problem but it hadn’t.

I am nearly at my wits end about what to do and the church cannot afford a new laptop.

 

Vaio SVF1521C2EW Web Cam not in Device Manager

The SNY5001 'unknown device' appears to be the 'Low Pin Count' controller which apparently needs the 'Sony Firmware Extension Parser' (SFEP) driver.

It looks like you've tried the Windows 8 version of the driver but the Windows 10 x64 bit SFEP driver can be downloaded from Sony here.
