    Where can i find the bitlocker recovery key on a microsoft account that was deleted?


    I registered my laptop 2 years ago with a microsoft account of the university I was studying at. Last week a replaced the motherboard of my laptop and to access it again I need the Bitlocker recovery Key. However the Bitlocker recovery key was on my Microsoft account of the university which I can’t access anymore because I’m no longer a student at the university! This account was blocked and deleted. Is there any possibility to still find my bitlock recovery key and what happens to the recovery key if the microsoft account is deleted? I didn’t make any backup of the recovery key

    2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
    3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
    4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

    Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

    No, no other accounts.

    What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

    I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?
