    Skype app from Windows settings

    Try resetting your Skype app from Windows settings.

    In case you need steps for resetting your Skype app, refer to these:

    1. Click start, then settings (gear icon)
    2. Go to System > Apps & features
    3. Find Skype, and click on Advanced options
    4. Scroll down, find and click the Reset button

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Where can I get a good explanation how to set up and use SKYPE :p

    As this is a now quite established messenger system of sorts perhaps a Skype feature for people skype names so perhaps some real time problem solving/discussions could be mounted?
    Just a wee suggestion.
