Windows 10: Where do I buy an official backup drive for Windows 10?

I was told by a technician that I can buy an original copy of Windows 10 which can be used in the future as a recovery drive.

Where do I buy this?

Also I would like to know a bit more about it, if possible leave a link to an article that tells us how to use it and all.

Using network hard drive for backup

It depends what sort of backup you want to do. If you're happy just backing up regular files, then there are a bazillion (really, that many!) different bits of freeware to do that. There is a good list here:

and pretty much all of them can do network backups. Some even have fancy options like encryption. Really, the most useful thing is just being able to schedule them and know they ran OK.

You may also want to make a system image backup too, and you'll find that software in the very same list.

I don't have Windows 8 as yet, so I'm afraid I can't suggest any for that platform. Personally, I use Clonezilla for image backups.

 

Where do I find to select the drive to create a backup

Let’s try simple steps and check if this helps. Try the below steps.

  Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
  
• Click on File history, now you can see the option to Select Drive
  on the left pane.

Note: Also, you can perform System Image backup.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
