Windows 10: Where do I change default location for Microsoft Print to PDF

    Where do I change default location for Microsoft Print to PDF


    Right now, if you select Microsoft Print to PDF under Print, it sends the file to the Documents folder in OneDrive.

    Where do I change the location so it saves it to the Documents folder on the PC?

    Thank you for your response. No, I wasn't referring to save location of Windows+PrtScn. I was interested in specifying the location of the PDF file generated when we choose the printer 'Microsoft Print to PDF'. This now defaults to Document folder and
    there is no option to change that. I am not interested in changing the location from Document Properties nor I want to fiddle with reg keys by editing the registry. I want the freedom to specify the destination folder/file whenever I select to print to 'Microsoft
    Print to PDF'.

    Windows 10 includes a PDF printer.

    Just print your report as if sending to a paper printer then switch the printer from default to Microsoft Print to PDF.

    Windows 10 introduces a new annoyance where the last used printer is made default. Therefore having used Print to PDF then next time you want to print the default may have changed. To prevent this happening go to Start > Settings > Devices > Printers and
    Scanners. Turn off Let Windows manage my default printer.

    I never opted to turn OneDrive on so mine save to My Documents folder. I believe there are instructions for turning off OneDrive somewhere in the forum if that option appeals to you.

    I just did a test print to PDF and it prompted Port Prompt so I chose the Pictures Folder, worked. I didn't get that the second time, went to Pictures, maybe after the next reboot?

    It's in OneDrive Settings/Auto Save (right click on the cloud on your task bar and choose Settings).
