    Umlauts on E61i

    well I only have a british e61, but I can get umlauts by holding down the chr key and hitting the character I need made special. So if I wanted an umlaut over the o I'd hold chr then keep hitting o until it shows me the right one

    Mail for Exchange - special characters (umlaut) in username

    Hi,

    I have several usernames with german umlaut-characters (ü, ä, ö, ß). These usernames are not able to logon within Mail for Exchange. Is there any hint?

    Where do I find special character such as an umlaut o?

    Umlauts on E61i

    I bought an E61i in Singapore, and it has as languages only English and Chinese

    I need to use Umlauts (ä ö ü etc) in some cases, mostly email but also SMS and documents.

    Is there any way to enter those on this phone?

    Can I maybe flash the firmware to a german-capable one (I do not have any need for the Chinese capabilities)

    Or is there a language pack to add on?

    And no, I don't really want a german OS/UI, just the ability to enter Umlauts and other western special characters.
