    Where do I find the boot log file? It's not in c:\windows


    I wanted to see the boot log for my windows 10 laptop, which currently takes over 10mins to boot up dispite disabling almot everything in startup.I set boot logging on in msconfig but no sign of ntbtlog.txt in c:\windows. I double checked it with bcdedit too.I have Avast anti virus and I tried setting that to PAssive Mode and also to Delayed startup. Still no sign of a boot log?Whats going on?

    Saves log files ?

    You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

    Download CCcleaner from here...........

    CCleaner Professional | Try the world’s most trusted PC cleaner, free!

    You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

    okay ive done the same thing as you but i cant put the file back into the folder

    • Copy nvlddmkm.sys in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_5518e59e8d3b48f4\ to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ and replace the existing one.
