  1. Where has the setting for the dialog box "Sound - Identify Device" migrated to in Windows 11?

I'm looking to manually change what my laptop treats the device plugged into the audio jack as. I want to do the same thing that is described in the link below, but the setting has migrated somewhere in Windows 11 and I can't find it.https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/change-headphone-sound-device-type-option/5b0df433-4aae-42da-a444-30a28bc62671Background:I'm having difficulty getting my laptop Windows 11, AN515-44 to detect my headset as a headset. In device manager it appears as "Headphones" instead. Nothing appears in "Input" except my built in mic and "Stereo Mix". Eve

  2. Default Playback devices are not retaining their settings.

We appreciate the information that you've provided. The next step that we recommend you to do is to disable all the sound drivers on your
Device Manager since the sound driver has 2 components. We have to identify which sound driver works best on your device by following these steps:

    • Type in Device Manger on the Search box.
    • Click the drop-down arrow for the Audio inputs and outputs and
Sound, video and game controllers drivers.

    • Where has the setting for the dialog box "Sound - Identify Device" migrated to in Windows 11? 33e66a89-f361-49a8-9a7e-cd5c26ea169f.png
    • Right click each drivers found on the suggested lists and select Disable.
    • Once you've disabled all the sound drivers, repeat steps 1 to
3 but this time enable one driver at a time and check which driver will retain the desired
      Playback device settings.

You can leave the other sound drivers disabled, once you've identified which driver works on your device.

Let us know if you encounter any challenges along the process.

Device ROOT\JUNGO\0000 was migrated. What does this mean

    Hi Natalie,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

The Event ID 440 usually means that the log file is damaged and cannot be used. As you mentioned that you got an error message: Device root/JUNGO/0000 was migrated, I would suggest you to download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and
install it again. Also please help us with the following information so that we have a better understanding of the issue:

    1. Which version of Windows 10 are you using?
Note: To check the version of windows, open run dialog box (by pressing Windows key + R) and type “Winver”.

    1. What is the make and model number of 3D scanner?
    2. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

You can also try to update the drivers from device manager. Here is an article with the instruction:
    Update drivers in Windows 10

Please write back so that we can help you.

Where has the setting for the dialog box "Sound - Identify Device" migrated to in Windows 11?

Advanced Appearance Settings Dialog Box for Windows 10 - Build 21H1

Me too. I bet that there are more chances that the Advanced Appearance Settings dialog box is going to migrate back into Windows 10 on build 21H2, instead of 21H1.
