    Where is 10240 ISO file?

Your key is correct, but activation via the official servers is not working anymore. The last time I was able to activate a clean install was about 7 hours ago.

You can ask MS for the 10240 iso, they will provide it with no problem. Sure, the tech (may) try to persuade you to get the latest build. Remember, your the customer who has previously installed the 10240 and you did not get the required CD/DVD with the product. Also your already have a working win10 computer or one that may need repair (meaning you are already partitioned and not looking to do a clean install) and should have received the "original" product that came with program. (aka CD/DVD/iso).

If this fails, point them to the "History of the Win 10 Builds"(See link below)

    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...usg=AFQjCNFq6xzapach_P99BcDjySnsPct4Ng&sig2=i jybGI7EHiJpUTPxMEX87w

This list provides the 3 Builds/Rings and upgrades(KB docket # and the latest release dates for the build type). The current Builds " at this time" for the different architectures are as follows:
    Build 10240(RTM)
    Build 10586
    Build 14393

IMO, I think this is "one" of the reaons why so many are reinstalling (new partitioning).

Let me provide an example why I believe this to be true in many cases.
Your computer has bulid 10586 previously installed, the efi partition drops out (for an unexplainable reason)...your now repairing your computer(manually adding the efi partition back in)... your C: drive has the Windows build 10586 program, you call for an iso link but didn't mention which iso link and they provided you with iso for 14393 build....now, heres the question to you? Is that a compatibility issue? I would say so....

Software is sensitive to communication. If, I'm holding my hand out to you as a greeting as taught (aka programmed) but you extend me a glass of water instead of shaking my hand, then that's a send/receive (signal or as we say an expectancy) problem.....(this is what I call conflict resolution)

If you've found yourself frustrated (as most have found themselves experiencing with the need to reinstall) Consider this theory of mine. Hope you find some peace.

Discounting the separate Insider Preview version [formerly Technical Preview] which is still available for testing purposes, the 3 Build numbers listed are "rungs in the ladder". 10240 was the first RTM/Released version [end of July 2015] and replaced by Version 1511 Build 10586. Version 1511 is being replaced by Version 1607 Build 14393. Speculating on that progression we may see Version 170x Build xxxxxx in a year. The current I have is Version 1607 Build 14393.105. It may now be difficult to locate the 10240 .iso download from legitimate sites. The 1511 stands for November 2015 and 1607 stands for July 2016 [actually released August 2nd].

    Where is 10240 ISO file?

There are two ways I know to download the 10240 .iso from Microsoft's servers. The first is to use the original Media Creation Tool (if you still have it). The location of the iso's seems to be hard-coded into the MCT. Anyone who downloaded the MCT to get 1511 and then tried to run it again to get 1607 would have realised that it still fetched 1511. You need to download a new MCT each time there's a new iso released.

The second way is to use a third party tool that:

...allows an easy and comfortable way to download genuine Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, as well as Office 2007, 2010 and 2011 disk images (ISO) directly from Microsoft's servers.
    https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/techno...-download-tool

The tool itself is third-party though, so use it at your own risk.

Well actually, you can go directly to MS support group and they will send whatever build you want via download link, email or allow them to remotely access your computer to download the link via One Drive
