Windows 10: Where is 50% of my Ram Going?

    Where is 50% of my Ram Going?


    I don't know why but a couple of days ago my laptop started nonstop screaming by just being on, even if I close everything every application it's just loud for no reason. I then checked my Task Manager and I find out that for some reason 70% of my ram is just gone to nothing. (The screenshot I took shows 50% because I exited Discord and Steam, in which before they never gave me an issue.) I don't know where almost 4 Gb out of my total 6 Gb of ram are going, now my pc is struggling to do basically anything. I just updated it again, looked up a bunch of tips and tutorials but nothing worked. Can someone help me please?

    This is a temporary study laptop until I get my desktop back, but I still want to bring this thing around to study outside without it shouting and disturbing everyone around me.

    Hello everyone i have this problem where my ram is always at 50% above and i jist reformatted my laptop a while ago i have no apps or games but the ram is already at 50% above what should i do? My specs are ryzen 3 3200U 4gb ram

    To RAM or not to RAM...

    Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...

    Or you could go out on the town as suggested... *Big Grin Where is 50% of my Ram Going? :D

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
