Unable to burn audio cd in Windows Media Player

Method 1: Troubleshooting.

Step 1: Run Windows Media player
troubleshooter by following the steps below, and check if the issue is resolved.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search bar next to
  Start icon, and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all option from the left side panel of the window,
  
• Select Windows Media Player DVD from the listed options, click on
  Advanced option, and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

Step 2: I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box next to
  Start button and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from left side panel of the screen.
• Select Hardware and Devices, click on
  Advanced option and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.
• Close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Method 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to disable and enable the Windows media player by following the steps below:

• Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type
  Windows Media Player, right click on the top most search result and select
  Uninstall option.
• From the window, click on Turn Windows feature on or off.
• Expand the Media Features option from the window, and uncheck the
  Windows Media Player.
• Follow the steps from ‘a’ to ‘c’, except check the Windows Media Player option and check if the issue is resolved.

Burning CD with Windows Media Player

Firstly, Windows Media Player requires that content intended to be burned to discs be first stored on the computer's hard disk. Therefore, I would suggest you to copy all the songs to a folder first and then proceed to the next step.

• Do you mean Windows Media Player?
• Do you mean Burn tab in Windows Media Player?

In Windows Media Player you have a Burn tab to burn the songs of your choice onto a CD or DVD.

Follow the steps below and check if you are able to burn the songs onto a CD.

• Open Windows Media Player by pressing Start key on the keyboard and typing
  Windows Media Player. Press Enter.
• On the right side of the window above the playlist, select Burn tab.
• Add the songs to the burn list from the album of your choice. You can add multiple songs from various albums and of various artist to the same list. You can also rearrange the order of the songs from the burn list by dragging and dropping the songs.
• Insert a blank CD to the CD drive and select the type of CD to be burnt from the
  Burn options located at the right corner of the window next to
  Clear list option.
• Click on Start burn option which will now be available to access.
