Windows 10: Where is HP SMART??

I got an HP Printer and installed it on my Windows 10 machine. The machine has 3 Microsoft based accounts and 2 local accounts including an administrator account.


Part of the installation is an application called HP SMART which is there to help manage the printer, and most importantly, allows you to scan.


Why is the HP SMART application not in the start menu of ALL the users? When I look in the Start menu directory locations, I don't see it in ANY of them the default or user specific.


I cannot find the folder where it is located, to try and create a new shortcut....It is there and works where you can see it, but I cannot find out why some users have it and others don't, nor how to add it to those that don't.

• What is the Model number of this HP system?

This issue might be due to the compatibility reasons. So I suggest you install Hp media smart program or app in compatibility mode and check.

I want you install the hp smart menu from the link given below and then run the program in compatibility mode.

I suggest you perform a clean boot and try transferring the data
. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

I've seen this problem before, and here are the steps that worked to make HP Smart work again:

- Uninstall the app through Apps & Features.

- Install it again using this link:

- Try running the app.
