Windows 10: Where is the file location of files not backed up by onedrive.

Hello.This is a long story but I will summarize.Had a 3 year old laptop that was working fine. Got a notification from Intel SSD toolbox that the SSD was failing despite basically having no real wear. Intel support confirmed this. I stick the SSD in another Windows 10 pc to backup the data and it went read only before I could do anything. Cloning software won't clone it, so I just want to copy all the files from the user folder.When I go to view the users folder it won't let me because of permissions. I try to change the permissions and it just errors since it cannot change the attributes to t

File History & OneDrive on Demand

I know that "files on demand" aren't saved on my computer. However, I still have the following problems:

• After starting a new File History backup from scratch (as suggested in the first response) the majority of my Onedrive , including almost all files that are marked as "Always Keep on this Device" are not backed up.

• Even for files marked as "Files on Demand" - surely File History should be able to back them up anyway? The whole point of a good backup system is that you have copies of files in multiple places (and OneDrive's cloud system only counts as 1). The creation
  of the file history would be download heavy as it copies every file to my backup device, but after that it should only have to download single files as changes are made.
  

 

Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:

• Open WinRAR application in your system.
• Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
• A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
• Now click Open button.
• Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
• Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
• Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
• Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
• WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.

I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

Move Onedrive location in file explorer to below This PC

Hi people,

I've been following tutorials online about changing the files listed on the This PC view with registry editor
I've removed quick access and network for example, and the system libraries.

I do uni work on the OneDrive, but I always miss it at the top, so I effectively want to swap it with the position of This PC or put it below This PC on the panel list.

I think I just need to know the location of a different section such as network and change the value of that to hold OneDrive, but I'm not sure.
