Windows 10: Where is the greeks/emoji in Win10 Chinese pinyin input method???

I used to love the default win10 pinyin input, where I type "alpha" and can get "α" in the candidate list. I also get "→" at the fifth candidate if I type "jiantou", or can get "" if I type "xiaoku". After an update of the system a few days ago, I cannot find these special characters in the candidate list anymore. If I want to type these characters, I must press "ctrl+shift+B" to open the character panel, which was not handy at all.I am a student and need to type the greeks really often. Is there a way to get back to the previous version? Thanks so much.

Yes, you may use Microsoft Pinyin (keyboard) for both Simplified and Traditional Chinese input. Here's
how you can switch between Simplified and Traditional Chinese input when using Microsoft Pinyin (keyboard):

1. Go to Settings > Time & Language >
   Region & language.
2. Under Languages, select Chinese (Simplified). If you have not installed it yet, click on
   Add a language and search for Chinese (Simplified).
3. Click Options and choose Microsoft Pinyin under
   Keyboards.
4. Click Options > Keys > Hot keys.
5. Under the Simplified/Traditional Chinese input switch option, turn it
   On.
