Where to check the complete log for chkdsk? I checked under EventViewer -> Application -> General, but the log is incomplete. But the log was incomplete. Please refer attached screenshot, where you can see that we have reached the end of log and it has ended abruptly with 'an' Supposed to be 'and'. Similar pattern of log above with and has ended correctly.

    Checking Disk Consistency

    1. Click on the Start menu and open the run dialog.
    2. Type "cmd" and return (without quotes)
    3. Next type "fsutil dirty query <letter of drive that chkdsk keeps checking>" (for example, C:
    4. If the returned message indicates that the volume is dirty, go to step 5
    5. Next type "chkdsk <drive letter> /f /x"

If you get this below answer YES.
Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? <Y/N>

    6. After that finishes, repeat step 3.
    7. If the volume is no longer dirty, reboot and chkdsk should not reappear

    PC incredibly slow.

Follow these steps to view the Check Disk (CHKDSK) results:

    1. Open the Control Panel
    2. Open Administrative Tools
    3. Select Event Viewer.
    4. In the Event Viewer expand the Windows Logs
    5. Select the Application log.
    6. Right Click the Application log and select Find
    7. Type wininit in the box and click Find Next
    8. In the middle pane click the Source/wininit line that is found.
    9. In the south pane, you will see the complete log for the latest Check Disk (CHKDSK).

Did you try a clean boot (MSconfig - disable all non M$ sevices and all startup programs)?

UAC logs to check why Application was Blocked?

Where can I check all the UAC logs that were blocked?
I checked in the Event Viewer under all the Windows logs but did not find anything that had to do with UAC blocking an application. Is there a way to check these logs?

    Thanks!
