Windows 10: Where to find encryption key

Lenovo Vantage Utility upgraded the BIOS and it breaks my tablet and makes it completely unusable with the MS Bitlocker issue even though I never set up Bitlocker or even an MS account. Yeah, my fault.

That is indeed the way to do it. Please observe the following:

• Turning off the encryption setting does not remove encryption
• Hard resetting your device destroys the only copy of the encryption key, and thus your access to these precious pictures.

I would suggest copying them reguraly, or you can automate this using Microsoft's MyPhone service (free).

Error message 0x80071771 means that you need to restore the file encryption key in order for you to decrypt the encrypted files. On the other hand, you can still try these steps and see if it will work:

• Right-click the file or folder that you want to decrypt.
• Click File ownership and click Personal.
